JapanPlays - DMCA Policy

JapanPlays respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been infringed, you may submit a DMCA notice as described below.

Submitting a DMCA Notice

To file a copyright infringement notification with JapanPlays, please send a written notification via our contact form that includes the following information:

  • Your identification as the owner or representative of the copyrighted work.
  • Specification of the copyrighted work that you believe is being infringed.
  • Identification of the location of materials that are infringing your copyrighted work, with web URLs on JapanPlays that contain these materials.
  • Your contact information, including your name, street address, phone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agents, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, under penalty of perjury.
  • Please write in English; all notices in any other language will be ignored.

Consequences of Misrepresentation

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability.

JapanPlays' Response to DMCA Notices

If JapanPlays receives proper notification of claimed copyright infringement, it will respond expeditiously by removing or disabling access to the material that is claimed to be infringing.

Please note that JapanPlays may not necessarily send a confirmation about the takedown actions to the reporter. If the required action doesn’t take place in a reasonable period, feel free to contact us again via email and the situation will be reviewed.
